Partying under the cherry blossom trees in Maruyama Park.This is Kyoto's Maruyama Park. At Cherry blossom time tables are set out under the trees and people gather for hanami parties. There are food stalls and the atmosphere is festive, but it deteriorates over the evening as more and more sake is consumed.

I think it gets more exciting as more and more sake is consumed :)
But that's just me.
Nice shot, Kate!

@JC: Thanks JC. Actually I thought of you as I wrote this comment. 'Deteriorates' is just a point of view... and maybe I should have stayed longer to document the table dancing, pissing on the trees, and passing out in the bushes. But it's all just hearsay for me...
I'd love to have a sake there! Great shot!

@alla: Thank you.
Interesting shot, and you have executed it well, else generally its kinda difficult to get nice exposure with so many different lights around. :)

@Rahul: All credit goes to my camera, because generally I just point and shoot. This was my second attempt to capture Hanami at night - my old camera wasn't up to the job.
