@Bronnie: Although this big wheel is derelict I did go on another one in Japan. It was very tame compared to even much smaller Ferris wheels in NZ ! Because you enter the car (which is closed like a cable car) then it glides slowly and smoothly for one stop, so people can get in and out of the next car. It just keeps on going like that. The view at the top is great, but the excitement level is about the same as an elevator. No whizzing round and round, up and over, no stomach dropping sensation. Very tame.
Another excellent take.

It seems really big indeed, If I have never ride one of the smallers I can't imagine myself in this one!

@Alfredo J. Martiz J.: Really, it's very slow and kind of boring.
Where is this one Kate? You're forgetting the thrill of going on a Ferris Wheels in Japan is that you never know when there's going to be an earthquake...
And have you ever wondered just why there are so many Ferris Wheels out here?

@Daroru: It's in Katata (just North of Otsu City.) By the way, I missed out on my first roller coaster ride in Japan because there was an earthquake just as I was about to get in the car !
